Organised events
Special events can be hosted in the forests, and City Forests welcomes discussing ideas with any interested groups.
A Permit from City Forests is a first requirement to be able to hold an event in any of our forest areas, and we need to be involved to advise on company operational contraints, and access, safety and environmental issues that may need to be taken into account. We therefore suggest you contact us early to begin the process.
Events could include a variety of activities such as:
- Car rallies
- Trail bike rallies
- Horse treks
- Mountain bike treks and competitions
- Orienteering
- Ornithology, dendrology and botanical studies
- Education activities
- Search & Rescue exercises
- Military training exercises.
